The Pic of the Siberian Husky Puppies

(adapted from: http://www.puppy.com.my/)

These mischievous furry members are none of the Siberian Husky!! ^^

Here are some description of it: (adapted from http://www.puppy.com.my/breed/siberian.html)

Origin: Russia during the 1800Æs. The Siberian Husky was mainly used to pull sleds. They have done this for centuries in Siberia. As would be expected of a breed that has to pull sleds, the Siberian Husky is strong, muscular and has a great deal of stamina. At the turn of this century, sled racing became very popular in Alaska. There were quite a few dogs in the U.S. by the middle of the 1920Æs. Their doublecoat is long and thick, with a soft undercoat that is quite dense and wooly. This coat protects the dog perfectly from extremely cold temperatures. The Siberian Husky's coat needs to be groomed regularly during shedding periods to help keep coat healthy. They do shed their undercoats two times each year. Color: all colors from black to pure white.

The Siberian Husky is an active dog that needs to have a lot of exercise each and every day. Training: early socialization, consistent and firm discipline and obedience. Good with children; best if raised with them from puppyhood. Their ears are medium in size, held erect and forward. The tail hangs to hocks and is quite thick and bushy with hair, and is usually carried curled over the back. They are a bit smaller than the Malamute. Siberians are not too concerned or suspicious of strangers or of other dogs. They are good with other household pets if raised with them from puppyhood. They have no possessive qualities either, so they don't make a guard dog! This breed is a wonderfully agreeable companion. Out on walks, the owner must be alert and have a firm hold of the leash. They can take off on a moments notice! The Siberian Husky is not a barker, but they do enjoy a good howl now and then. They also love to dig.

haha... in addition, these furry member are super energetic and super mischievous... therefore.. to my furry gang friends, if u thinking of petting it... better think of a way to exhause its energy or it will give u a mess... LOLZ and one more thing... Don't ever think of letting it guard ur home as it really dissapointing u!! ^_^"

Hair

Did you folks realise that guinea pigs have fur, and hair at the same time? You're asking me what's the diff? I didn't really know at one point, but now, I provide to thee the answer to the question you never thought of asking until I brought it up!

Actually, there isn't any difference according to a source I checked just not too long ago (5 minutes from the time of posting this, lol!) right here: http://www.sciam.com/askexpert_question.cfm?articleID=0006E5B1-64B0-1C72-9EB7809EC588F2D7

But I guess people associate fur with animals and hair with homo sapiens or mammals. In the end, it doesn't even matter, because you are here with us, the Furry Gang, haha! So, next time when a friend cuts his hair, I'll go ask:

Me: So, where did you cut and style your....err..........fur?
Friend o'mine: Why don't you climb that flight of stairs up to the rooftop of Freescale where you're conducting industrial training and jump off? (In short, Go and die!!)

Piggy Food of Varieties :P

Found this piece of info in a website. For those who are interested in having a cavey can refer to it. The Guinea Pig Web site
Didn't know they like Apples too!

Guinea's Food:
Cucumber: If you own a Guinea Pig then you must have 'Plenty Of Cucumber!'

They love it! All four pig's with a plate in front of them with EVERY THING you can imagine on will always pick cucumber first!. When I got Kornage I hadn't kept Guinea Pigs before and didn't really know a lot about them. I did notice he didn't drink as much as my hamster so I was concerned. I fed him cucumber initially because I felt it meant he was definitely getting some kind of water intake. I have since noticed that Guinea Pig's do not drink a lot. Millie however is an exception to this and can drink a bottle of water in 24 hours. She seems to always be at the water bottle. I was worried she wasn't able to use the bottle but the fact that air bubble rise when she drinks is an indication that it works fine.

First thing in the morning I always give my piggie's a slice of cucumber each. When I come downstairs and go in the kitchen to make a cup of tea as soon as I open my fridge they will start mweeping to remind me not to forget them. It's the most awful feeling to hear them mweeping when you have run out of cucumber! This is why I buy plenty, at present a weeks shopping consists of at least 4 cucumbers. That's a cucumber per piggy, however I normally start to run out towards the end of the week and have to get more.

I give my piggie's about 4 slices each per day of cucumber. It really depends, if it's a hot day I feed them cucumber that's been in the fridge and is chilled. I think it must be refreshing for them and help to cool them down even if only for 5 min's. I also keep one out on the side so it ripens more. When they are ripe they become very juicy and I feel are a good source of water on days when they could become dehydrated.

As much as they love cucumber it however does not contain any goodness for them as its made up of water. Cucumber should not be given as a source of vitamin C It is more of a treat for them.

Carrots: I would say they are not over keen on carrots. However I find out of most of the fresh vegetables these do tend to keep well in the fridge. When you can buy carrots with the leaves still attached you should because they like the leaves too.

Celery: All of the celery is good. I used to buy celery with no leaves. Now I buy the most leafy bunch I can.

Peppers: These are very full of vitamin C and very good for Guinea Pigs. I have read online that 1/7th of a green bell pepper is enough vitamin C for a piggy a day. I tend to buy lots of different coloured ones and give a different kind each day. I cut up half of one to share out between them. Clean out all of the seeds when you give them to your Guinea Pig. I have read time and time again that no kind of seeds should be fed to Guinea Pigs. I am not sure if its because they can be toxic or fattening. However seeds is something I avoid giving them.

Parsley: This is a great source of vitamin C and they love it. Also you can grow it very easily in your garden. Supermarkets sell this fresh and its very cheap.

Baby Sweet Corn: My Guinea Pig's love baby sweet corn when it is still fresh and crunchy. Be warned if they are sat on you when they eat this it makes a real mess!

Fresh corn on the cob: When you can buy these fresh in season (Not the frozen type) I buy one and put it in the cage. The pigs are not over keen on this but do like to drag it in to a hidey hole and sit and munch on it.

Apple: My piggie's only like certain kinds of apple. I buy old fashioned english apples, the yellowish with red splashes on. I do not feed them this often as I have read that apples can cause blistering around the Guinea Pig's mouth from the acid in them. I have never experienced this but have noted this and only feed apple about twice a week.

I think the green crunchy apples are more acidic than the old english and never feed them that kind.

Melon: My lot like to eat the skin of honey due melons. They are not so keen on the other kinds. I give them chilled melon on hot days when I have one.

Cauliflower leaves: It occurred to me when throwing away the leaves on a cauliflower that my pig's may actually like them. They do like the leafy part but not the stalk. They do not like the flower of it.

Broccoli: This is a good source of vitamin C but sometimes my pig's eat it and others they wont touch it.

Grapes: You can give Guinea Pig's a grape occasionally but they must be seedless. I haven't read anything about it but I do assume that if you gave a Guinea Pig too many of these it would surely upset their stomachs. So I would make this a treat now and then rather than part of their diet. If anybody knows different then do contact me and put me straight.

Spring Onion: I have no idea if they are allowed these but my piggie's like the very dark green end of them. I do not feed often but if I am cutting some up will give them the leafy end rather than bin it.

Cranberry Juice: My pigs like this sometimes. It's a very high source of vitamin C and can be fed to them with a syringe. I have found my piggie's like cranberry and raspberry juice but I assume if I give them too much it will upset their stomach.

I have found that my pigs definitely do not like strawberries, oranges, grapefruit, tomatoes.

Makan

Yep, eating is what every living, breathing and squeaking thing has to do.

It's only now that I understand why cartoonists draw hamsters and guinea pig's mouth the way they do. Didn't really know why, until I saw this picture of course! (refer to the guinea pig on the right)

I enjoy watching animals feed, except for carnivores definitely. It's one of the reasons I am vegetarian, for 81% of my life. My ol' guinea pig Mimi was exceptionally naughty when it comes to feeding. Feed it too often with carrots, it'll eat a little, then start throwing his food around by biting it and carrying it up vertically, then smash it on the ground! I used to be rather amused by the sight of it, but decidedly stopped being so cruel and fed it with cucumber (its fav) the next few days. Imagine if your mom were to cook bitter gourd everyday for lunch and dinner for the whole week!!

Buying a Hamster

When buying a hamster, there are many aspects to be considered:

The hamster shouldn't be too young (at least three weeks old) or too old (not more than three months). If you buy a hamster with two weeks it will probably die, because tha hamster can't feed itself suitably. With more than two months a female hamster might be pregnant. A so young "mother" is of course not a healthy hamster. Another aspect is that young hamsters are much easier to tame.

Buy a hamster only in the afternoon, because they sleep during the day and you can't see how active they are

Maybe the hamster is ill or hurt and the seller wants to sell you the hamster for the half of the price, but NEVER buy a hamster in those conditions.

The eyes of the hamster should be clear and the hair shouldn't be wet. These marks mean that the hamster is ill.

Buy only one hamster, because when they grow they begin to fight. If you want to breed hamsters you have to keep male and female in different cages. (Exception: dwarf hamsters, if they are from the same litter)

Goose!!

NGONG!!! Posted by Hello

Let me tell you some stories about an experience I once had regarding geese. Warren and I were jogging in Lake Gardens some years ago, when I decided to take a path over the lake across the bridge. There was this flock of geese around the area, and I ran through the whole crowd. Warren wailed out, saying "Garry, you mad arrrr??!!". Well, he followed anyway with a fearful look in his face! Kinda reminds me of the look on a goat when it's afraid, can you imagine?? Perhaps I'll find a pic of that and post it here. Continuing with the geese, one of them looked as if it was gargling and flapped its wings furiously! Guess it wanted to chase us off...

As for the pic, I am reminded of a Disney cartoon I watched when I was young, it was about 2 geese, wearing the head scarf or something, and boy, were they gossipy!!! Ngong!!

How To Clean Your Toilet

Hey Guys! Someone send this to me and I nearly laughed my head off while reading it. Have fun and enjoy!

How To Clean Your Toilet - The Fun Way

Instructions on how to clean your toilet

1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.
2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.
3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. You may need to stand on the lid.
4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.
5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power-wash" and rinse".
6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door.
7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.
8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will dry himself off.
9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean.

Sincerely,

The Dog

The truth is out there.....

Can't you see the bloody resemblance?? Posted by Hello

The so called panda dog is actually a chow chow. When I first saw the pic, I knew on the spot, but I just couldn't take it with you gals thinking it's really a dog that looks like a panda, lol!! Those Japanese memang nothing else to do, go and color the poor dog black and white... pity the dog. It's supposed to be brown, or totally black. I saw a couple of em' last year nearby Jun Wei's neighbourhood. With which, I am reminded that we both saw a Chow Chow at the pet shop at Tmn Megah, and it kept barking at us cos we laughed at it being fat. Surprisingly, it knew, an it kep staring at us as we walked away... we spied on it 5 minutes later, and it still spotted us... damn!

Roborovski Hamsters

I saw these cutie little one at Mid Valley's Pet Shop. Stand there and looked at them for soem time.

The Roborovski Hamster originates from Western and Eastern Mongolia and Northern China. Roborovski Hamsters were imported into the UK in the 1960s by London Zoo but the present UK stock was imported from Holland in 1990. Roborovski Hamsters were later imported into the USA and are now available as pets in many countries.

The Roborovski Hamster is the smallest of the hamster species kept as pets, being only around 4-5 cm in length. The natural colour is sandy-gold over the back with a white belly and distinctive white "eyebrows" which gives them a very appealing appearance although other varities exist.

Roborovski Hamsters are extremely active and fast and so are not widely kept as a pet as they are much more difficult to handle than the other species of Dwarf Hamster. This makes them unsuitable pets for children who want a pet they can hold and play with but are a fascinating pet for those who prefer simply to observe, particularly when given a large and interesting environment in which to live. Roborovski Hamsters are, however, of very good temperament and rarely nip.

As Roborovski Hamsters are not a suitable pet for children they are rarely seen in pet shops but can be obtained from specialist hamster breeders in various countries.
The average lifespan of the Roborovski Hamster is 3-3½ years although they can live longer.

Crouching cat, hidden face

Where's the miao miao? There it is!! (remember Diego from Ice Age?? heh heh!!) Posted by Hello

This brown little furball here reminds me of what Jun Wei said early this year. I fetched her home from some reunion dinner with her SAM coursemates, and we decided to drop by the mamak near her house for a drink and linger a while before sending her home. Well, the place isn't exactly pleasant, with the smell and all... Anywayz, we saw a cat pass us by and I tried to attract its attention b mewing at it, didn't work of course! So a Q&A session ensued.

Me: So, if I were a cat, what kind would I be to you?
Wei: A healthy brown one, miao chai ar.
Me: MIAO!!

What kind of animal do you think fits you the most??

Fetish for fatish!

Ahhh!!! Who's that ugly obese fella in the mirror??!! Posted by Hello

Oh wait, ain't that myself?? lol
This pic reminds me of the fat cat I saw in the movie 'Anger Management'. I actually pitied the cat being dressed up like that... but it looked cute anywayz. Yea, many of you guys don't like cats cos they're lazy, disloyal, useless, and other even more loathful habits of theirs'... understandable. Well, it's still a furry critter anywayz, so what the heck!! Miao!

Mimi....

In fond memory of my ol' guinea pig, Mimi.... Posted by Hello

Which prompts me to mention, Mimi is supposed to be called Mini because we all thought he was a she. When we did finally find out he ain't a she, we still called Mimi. Yes, it's a bad name for a boar, but what the heck!! Anywayz, things were gonna get worse for our poor ol' boar here, cos he never got to mate in his lifetime (yes, an eunuch if you may say...).

Oh, one more thing, this guinea pig here,it ain't Mimi, just another look alike ^o^ There's another look alike in my Friendster's account, my display pic. Yes, it's very fat and cute!! Go cuddle! (Oh shoot, I am turning sexually challenged by saying that...)
